What to Wear (ICF)
Work clothes. You'll be working with ICF blocks, rebar, and concrete. Steel-toe boots recommended.
What to Wear (Renolit)
Jeans or comfortable clothing (glue may get on hands/clothing). Tennis shoes preferred, no hard-sole boots that can mark the membrane.
Schedule & Meals
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM daily (arrive at 8:30 AM). Donuts and coffee each morning. Some lunches provided. Group dinners organized informally.

Renolit PVC Membrane Installer Academy, 4-Day Certification
Renolit is a $5 billion global manufacturer headquartered in Germany and the worldwide leader in PVC membrane pool finishes. Their Alkorplan membrane system is the most widely used reinforced PVC membrane in the world — trusted across Europe, and now gaining traction in the U.S. Renolit offers reinforced membrane options in 60 mil, 70 mil, and 80 mil thicknesses. We're one of the first authorized Renolit training centers in the country.
What Happens Over 4 Days
Day 1 starts with the fundamentals: introduction to Renolit and the Alkorplan system, PVC membrane vs. traditional liner comparison, material handling, storage, and preparation, plus tools and workspace setup. From there, the course progresses through welding techniques (overlap welds, T-joints, corner details), surface preparation, geotextile felt installation, membrane measuring/cutting/placement, estimating and quoting jobs, and renovations/retrofits. Day 4 you put it all together, installing membrane in demo pools in teams of two with direct instructor feedback. You leave ready to install.

Different skills, different certifications, complementary services. ICF Pool Training (3 days) teaches you how to build the pool structure, from ICF block stacking through monopour and finish. Renolit Academy (4 days) teaches you how to install Renolit PVC pool membranes, a premium wall finish. Many builders attend both to offer a full-service ICF pool build plus premium finish package.

No. Training and kits are separate purchases. That said, most builders who train with us do order kits, because they've seen the quality firsthand and they already have a relationship with our team. Some builders buy their first kit before they leave Springfield.
